Writers' Circles & Projects

Potential members are welcome to attend three monthly ‘pocket’ meetings, free of charge, before deciding to join. Please confirm dates and times.

Prose Pocket Group

The prose group usually meets the first Friday of each month at 6:45 pm at Empress Gardens in Peterborough. Coffee, tea and snacks are provided by Empress Gardens Retirement Residence. Members share comments about their current writing progress, and other writing related news. They then read short pieces or excerpts of work, followed by brief critiques. Critiques can vary in form at the request of the writer.

Poetry Pocket Group

Similar to our prose group, our dedicated poetry group usually meets at noon on the third Saturday of each month at Empress Gardens Retirement Residence in Peterborough. Members discuss poetic forms and accomplished poets, read a piece of work and receive brief critiques, write collaborative poems, and may choose to do ‘homework’.

Radio Play Group

For members only, this group has written several radio plays and is in the process of recording them.

Inksmith

For members only, this radio program has showcased our members and their work.
